Moving from brokenness to a deeper embrace of my true self.

I first heard of Set Free through the testimonies of people who had found healing through their programs. When I finally got serious about addressing my own unresolved same-sex attractions, I knew exactly where to turn.

Over a years-long period, God brought healing to my fractured masculine soul through books, counselors, and prayer. Through Set Free, he showed me that my struggle wasn’t fueled by a desire to have sex with other men, but to BE those men. They helped me to understand the desire for intimacy and affirmation from men was a legitimate desire that had become sexualized, and that God wanted me to find healthy ways of meeting that need.

As I became more grounded in my true identity, my same-sex attractions faded. Today, I am married. My wife Wendy stands beside me as I volunteer at Set Free, passing along the healing that God has done in my life.
